Maybe anyway. I dove headfirst into the Curse of Osiris expansion for Destiny 2 yesterday, and I honestly came away from that okay. It didn’t send me into seizures or anything so that’s good. I’ve even spent a little bit of time playing Overwatch over the past week. It was, dare I say, fun.
I’ve been away from gaming for a little while now. Hasn’t been a huge amount of time, but it’s been more time than I would normally take from something that I’ve enjoyed for so many years.
It was almost liberating. I never felt the need to jump into a game in order to do something like a daily login. That happens to be one reason that I now stay away from World of Warcraft. The daily quests were driving me crazy, but I required myself to do them. Daily. That gets to be a little bit crazy when it comes right down to it. Come home from work, sit in my chair, eat at my desk while running daily quests and whatnot. It’s actually been a long time since I’ve done that. I’m super glad that I don’t do that anymore.
Right now I feel as though I could play a game, go for a walk, watch Netflix, space out, or anything at all. There isn’t a need to do any one thing in particular. Well. That applies to after everything else has been done. Things like dinner, checking my son’s homework, and walking the dog have to be done. Oh, and a shower, but anything after that is fair game.
Anyway, Curse of Osiris. I can’t really say much about it as I did kind of speed through the quest line. However, I will say that I actually enjoyed it. It’s not going to turn me into a daily player again, but it feels like I could go back to playing on a semi-regular basis. At least until I hit max light on my characters anyway. Haha!
The cut scenes are great, and I actually like Osiris. You could say that his character kind of calls to me. I can’t quite put my finger on why, though, so don’t ask for an explanation.
I’ll try to have more to say about it another time. Maybe after I get more game time in on it. Who knows? Perhaps I’ll be able to convince my clan to do the new raid as well. That could be fun.
